NYU Korean Alumni Association: Reunion Day
The Korean Alumni Association’s (KAA) annual, alumni-led NYU Reunion Day drew in over 200 alumni for a fun-filled night of mingling, drinks, and music.
This year’s event, “Violets Be Together, All Together” was held on May 30, 2023 at Forest Cheongdam in the posh neighborhood of Apgujeong in Seoul’s Gangnam District. They welcomed honorary guest President Linda G. Mills, as well as other notable guests such as Head of NYU-KAIST Research Karin Pavese, Director of Alumni Engagement Asia, Xin Wei, and other prominent members of KAIST to celebrate the recently formed NYU-KAIST partnership.
After a pre-reception for the senior leadership of NYU KAA, the night kicked off with welcome remarks from KAA Chairman Sang Joon Suh followed by a fireside chat with President Mills moderated by former NYU Trustee Jonathan Kim (SPS '09). Throughout the evening, alumni participated in NYU networking bingo as well as raffles throughout the night that consisted of various prizes donated by members of the KAA.
