Barb Hickey

Barb Hickey became an official NYU regional ambassador in late 2022 and has single-handedly organized and hosted six events for her small but mighty local alumni community.

These events have made an impact not just because they are creative and diverse, but because they connect NYU alumni with their local community and one another. Barb has done a tremendous job spotlighting local organizations focused on helping marginalized communities. She is unwavering in her dedication to building inclusive alumni programs and an absolute joy to work with. She is the first Regional Ambassador to win New Volunteer of the Year in the history of the NYUAA’s Alumni Volunteer Awards.
