Guy Gallo, author of Screenwriter Compass: Character as True North

Date: 4/17/2012
Time: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

NYU Bookstore
726 Broadway
New York, NY

In Screenwriter's Compass, Guy Gallo shows aspiring and professional screenwriters how event, plot, and structure are grounded in the vivid imagining and presentation of character. With Gallo's guidance, screenwriters will learn how to root their screen story telling in character and voice; to create screenplays that seduce the readers, make them lean forward, and, most importantly, allow them to identify with character.

Guy Gallo has written over a dozen feature screenplays; five have been produced, including “Under the Volcano” produced by John Houston.   He has taught advanced screenwriting for twenty years at Columbia  University,  Princeton, and New York University.

This event is free and open to the public.
