Thomas Gensemer (CAS '99) has been called Obama's digital campaing "guru" and is credited with masterminding the President's groundbreaking and wildly successful online campaign efforts.   So it may come as a surprise that the western Pennsylvania native was a Young Republican when he first came to NYU to study politics.
