NYU Buenos Aires is located amid the lively activities of day-to-day life of Argentina's capital city, and visitors to this site have the exceptional opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Latin America. After a decade of economic and political challenges, Argentina is experiencing renewed growth and prosperity. The country plays a significant role in the history and character of South America. With its distinct European style, Buenos Aires, birthplace of the tango, is one of the largest port cities in the world and is considered the financial and cultural center of Argentina.
The academic program at NYU Buenos Aires is an exciting cultural adventure and an academically challenging experience. Latin American studies courses and language courses are taught by accomplished NYU professors and some of Argentina’s best scholars and most influential professionals. Between eighty to two hundred students study at this global academic center each year.
