Your Gift Makes a Difference
Thank you for your support of NYU! Gifts to NYU directly benefit our extraordinary students and scholars, who come to NYU to take advantage of the unique educational opportunities that only we can offer, from our renowned faculty and innovative schools and programs to our location in the heart of New York City.
NYU relies on its dedicated community of alumni, parents, friends, patients, faculty, staff, and administrators to help facilitate its continued excellence. Gifts to NYU support financial aid and scholarships, allow us to recruit and retain a world class faculty, to build and renovate state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories, and so much more.
As the largest private university in the country, NYU has many areas that need support, and this website can help match your interests with our most important priorities. Regardless of where you direct your support, your gift will truly make a difference.

Alumna Audrey Rabinowitz Establishes Seminar Series at CAS and New Curriculum at School of Medicine
The quality of medical care that Audrey Rabinowitz (WSC '44) and her late husband, Wilber, received at the NYU Medical Center led them to dedicate a recent gift to the NYU School of Medicine. With Audrey's support, undergraduate and post-doctoral students will now be offered a series of seminars that will focus on the business of practicing medicine, which Wilber saw as a priority.
"The Rabinowitz's gift came at the perfect time," says Veronica Catanese, senior associate dean for education and associate professor of medicine and cell biology. "The business education of doctors has not been a focus for most medical schools and this is an area that NYU is beginning to address."
Audrey made an additional gift to NYU to establish a seminar series at the College of Arts and Science, which will bring undergraduate students together with a leading scholar from either NYU or an outside academic institution. This experience goes beyond the standard classroom format to expose students to both the content and methods of intellectual discourse.

Fund for NYU Tops $23 Million in Record Year
This year, The Fund for NYU once again exceeded its goal, bringing in more than $23 million to help meet the University's most immediate needs. The Fund was able to reach its all-time high thanks to the unprecedented number of alumni, parents, students, employees, and friends who participated. More than 40,000 people made annual fund gifts during the fiscal year that ended on August 31.
Gifts from alumni made up a vast portion of the total, making an important, positive impact on NYU. "The consistent rise in alumni giving over the past several years has given us a significant boost as we work to increase scholarships and improve student life," said Debra LaMorte, senior vice president for university development and alumni relations. "Gifts come in every size, but whether large or small, every donation makes a difference. And with only one year to go in the Campaign for NYU, it was important for us to reach out and ask all members of our community to show support for our students and the University," added LaMorte.
The Fund for NYU was founded in 2001 to form one collective fund for all of NYU's schools and colleges. Participants can target their gifts to support any of NYU's 14 schools and divisions, athletics, or other programs of their choice.
