Perstare Society, Society of the Torch, and 50 and 50-plus Commencement Anniversary Breakfast
8:30-10:00 AM
One of New York University's most enduring and memorable traditions, the Perstare Society Breakfast is held each year prior to the University's commencement exercises. The Perstare Society is an honorary association celebrating all NYU alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. All alumni reaching their milestone 50th anniversary years are automatically inducted into the Perstare Society These alumni are the living memory of NYU's great history. They are honored treasures and are an inspiration for the future.
Because of on-going renovations in Washington Square Park, NYU will celebrate its 176th Commencement at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. While the traditional Perstare Society pre-commencement will not be able to take place at the Stadium, we will instead hold the breakfast as part of the NYU Alumni Day celebration. Alumni from the 50th and 50-Plus anniversary classes come together to meet old friends and reminisce over breakfast and kick off NYU Alumni Day activities.
NOTE: You must have graduated in 1958 or earlier to attend this breakfast.
