Thank You!
On Saturday, May 17, 2008, NYU welcomed over 2,000 alumni and friends back to Washington Square for a day of programs and special events featuring the best of NYU and NYC.

Our exciting slate of programs covered topics including politics, nutrition, art, film, science, and literature. Presented by distinguished NYU faculty and other notable speakers, these programs reaffirmed why NYU is a leader in higher education.
Highlights of the day included:
- A discussion on the upcoming US Presidential election and current events with President John Sexton, MSNBC anchor and Tisch parent Chris Matthews, and Wagner Senior Fellow Bob Shrum.
- Readings, conversation, and coffee with noted authors E.L. Doctorow, Yusef Komunyakka, Toi Derricotte (GSAS '84), and Lila Zemborain (GSAS '86, '97).
- An exclusive screening of the movie Home, beautifully directed and produced by Tisch alumna Dawn Scibilia, showcasing a young Irishman, Alan Cooke, as he contemplates the concept of home in reflection of his recent immigration to New York City.
- Two amazing parties, perfect to cap off your day and reminiscence on your NYU experience with old and new friends.
Keep an eye out for further information on next year's Alumni Day. We look forward to seeing you in 2009!
